LOTWSvirgin
Is it worth going to the Minnesota river to try for some flats with the river rising?? I am a shore fisherman. I would just go and fish and find out for myself but its an hour drive whether I go to Redwood or towards Mankato. Doe the rising water typically shut them off or dont it matter. I really just wanna know if flooded river shore fishing is worth it
smeese
I would wait without a boat, you will have to be selective of spots that flow slower which narrows your options, and it can shut them off a while. Fishing is never a waste of time, just less productive at times.

Scott K
In most places the water is out of its banks, so I dont think you would find a shore spot anyhow, and if you did, your line would have a hard time staying out there.
