4 stroke engine fogging question

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hello,

I have finally accepted winter is here and I am not going to get out on the water again (in my boat any way) until next spring. I just purchased a new boat with a honda 4-stroke this spring. The manual is lacking any information on winterization. I can easily drain and change the oils, stabilize gas, drain carbs, store batteries, etc. My question is how to fog the engine?

I have read various views online about fogging 4-stroke engines. Some say spray the cylinders only. Is this right???

Thank you,

Biff

Scince you have a 4 stroke spraying the clyinders is fine.

The benifit of spraying through the carb on a 2 cycle is your fogging agent gets in the the crank.
