Northern Fishing

How is the northern fishing. I'd like to make another trip up there soon or would it be better to wait until spring. We fished Big Pine and a few other ones. Biggest one caught was about 5 lbs. I love bass fishing, but could really get hooked on northerns.

Northerns are hittin' good in the 3-5 lb. range in the river pools. Partner got a 4lber speed-trollin' a jointed Rap in 7' of water, runnin' the Rap at about 3'. 'Bout 3-4 mph.
