Finns
Got out again yesterday for a little ice action. Happy Holler Lake northeast of Savannah. Four of us did very well. Live bait hook tipped with a waxworm and a bubble gum colored (real men don't use pink ) crappie nibble. 10 am to 1 pm, sunshine and blue skies. Temp was near 25 degrees. 1900_LE
How much ice was on there?
BarryG
That's Great! I took a ride Saturday, we looked at several lakes but the only one not frozen was Thomas Hill. We just did some scouting for when the weather gets a little nicer...and to get out of the house. Almost a 400 mile trip just checking out the lakes! Finns
1900; 8 to 10 inches. From boat ramp to middle was only about 100 yards so probably same amout of ice over the whole (small) lake.Barry is Thomas Hill the one with the power plant discharge in/on it? Boys are thinking of takeing the boats out early to the lake that has the power plant.
BarryG
Yes, TH is a power plant lake. We spoke to a water patrol officer while we were there and he said the water coming from the plant is 58 degrees, and they are catching a lot of hybrids.
