Jeez, I would post my 28 inch trico caught brown, but it didn't fit into the picture all the way. Sometimes it just doesn't go your way. frowngrin

Len how about the story behind those beasts. I know about the first one. What about the others?

Average sized trout. This is a brown trout that lives in a brook trout stream. Only 15" but look at the wide shoulders. He was let go, as was the fish above

Another one, same stream. This one 16"

Another one, same stream. This one is 17" and look how dark it is?

So a 17" trout like this has some teeth. I use 10lb braided. As you can see, this is why you need strong line if you are targeting larger trout.

Same fish. Pandora trout, like from the movie Avatar. Len netted a 20" trout for me out of Lightening Creek with it, then gave me the net as a gift before we parted ways. The next weekend I land this guy with it. This is an 18" Eddie Bauer net.

CAB thanks for the post. Beautiful big browns. How do you catch the big ones? Amazed you catch these big guys during the day. Worms, spinners, raps or big wollys and streamers? Another guy that knows where the big ones are. Welcome!

Thanks for the comments, I fish almost exclusively with Husky jerk-baits (#12, I think) I am convinced the bouyancy of the bait and being able to keep in in the "fish zone" longer is what triggers the strike. Time of day does not seem to matter too much. Also, I always crimp the barbs when fishing C&R.
