With only 4 or 5 inches of ice if we get as much snow as they say we might get it will make a mess of the lakes with all the slush. But I did get to try my new strikemaster auger out today and what an improvement over my old model 30 jiffy, after the first start it started on the first pull every time and I had no problems with the recoil.

It is just starting to come down like Wayne said. The wind is supposed to shift and come almost straight out of Canada from the Nort North/West. Then the Mercury is going to DROP bigtime!

That should tighten up the slush around here!

I think Kappy sould give us the word on that crazy River Walleye trip real soon. That is fun...fun...fun!

Looks to be above freezing everyday from Thursday on out as far as I can see,for CNY with rain in the long range forecast. The nights look to be slightly below freezing. I just hope to god we are only having a thaw and this will not set up to be a pattern for February. That would really suck.
