Hi all,

New to this forum... I'm an avid open and hard water fisher from Manitoba Canada. Looking forward to spending some time south of the border this winter to chase some crappie and other pannies with some friends - which will be a first for me.

Not sure how your weather is holding out in MN and area, but up here the still waters are already starting to skim overnight. Thought I'd share some pictures from one last open water trout trip we took last week.

I've also included a link to a video (that I did for a fishing blog I write), showing us trying to get rainbows to the boat in between the ice flows!

Welcome to the site, I spent a couple years in Winnipeg and it is a great town. Will be up there in mid December for my 6th annual greenback hunt on the Red and hopefully Lake Winnipeg as well.

That's terrific... the lake has been STELLAR the last couple of years. Drop myself or Hookedmag a PM, maybe we can put a convoy together cool
