Storage for depth finder?

Any issues with storing a depth finder in the boat over the winter. It will be in an insulated garage (does get much below 20*), although most of the time it's not heated.

I can't imagine it would be an issue, but wanted to double check.

I have always left mine in the boat and have never had an issue yet.

For what we spend on those things, I would bring it in. All those humidity changes from the temprature variances can't be good for the plasma and LCD models. I bring in as much as my wife will let me.

I bring mine in, along with the batteries, tackle box, and rod combos.

Bring it inside. For what we pay for these babies its not worth the chance.

I've always left mine on the boat if I keep the boat in my garage. If I send the boat to storage then my electonics stay in a cabinet in my garage or my basement, whereever there's space for them. As long as you don't trap moisture or humidity in or or the units, by storing them in neoprene covers or plastics bags, etc. you shouldn't have any problems.

I have always stored mine in an outdoor shed up north. I have not had any issues.

I bring in all my electronics and batteries. Store them all in the furnace room and feel better knowing they are nice and cozy.

Mine spend the winter in a cupboard below my gun cabinet in the living room. I honestly don't know if the cold will harm them but with the amount of money I have invested in them I'm not taking any chances with trapped moisture and freezing temps.

When I get my new Himminbird SI unit, It will be stored in the house for the winter. I won't take any chances with that unit due to its cost. My Lowrance I do not care much about as it always seems to have issues.
