Garage Door Insulating Kits

I have a two stall garage door that I want to insulate. Has anyone had luck with those kits that you can get at Meh nards? They run about 65.00 each (I will need two to fill the entire garage door). Comments, good, bad, otherwise...my garage is 3/4 insulated and the garage was probably only 5 degrees warmer than the outside temp.

Or another option is using the (bubble wrap) type of reflection insulation? Thoughts on that as well? Better R-value with one or the other?

You have 3 choices that I know of in kit form. Foam, fiberglass with poly backer, bubble with reflective surface. Check the R values but I think the fiberglass with poly backer is the highest with around 8. Which one of the above will fit into the channels better?

IMO the fiberglass will and it'll deaden the sound inside and out.

Are you familiar with fastening techniques will all of the above. Double face tape is usually involved.

If it were me I'd probably opt to do this without a kit and use insulation support hangers along, and with compression fit its not going anywhere.
