Insulating a garage???

I have a question regarding insulating a garage that has been already been covered in sheetrock. I bought the home new and they sheet-rocked the majority of the garage and only insulated the walls against the home. I want to insulate the garage (don't plan on heating) but I don't want to rip down drywall. I should add that they taped and mudded, so unscrewing isn't an option. If I drilled holes and blew in insulation would that work? I'm worried about not having a vapor barrier that way, but would it matter if I'm not heating it? Any thoughts?

glue that pink board insulation to the drywall? just a tacky lookin idea. at my old roomies house we stapled thick plastic to the rafters to help all the heat from risin to the top. with just the plastic done and no drywall or insulation except for the 2 walls attached to the house we were able to work out there in sweatshirts in the coldest weather with one of them big loud propane heaters used for construction. smell aint the best but it warms up quick and is pretty cheap.

Sorry for not reading more carefully.

However, given your facts I think the return on the investment would be very low. Without heating it the heat loss through the walls will be minimal. I think it would be a PITA to have to cover all the holes you would have to put in for blown insulation, but that's just my opinion.

Use injection foam. The crew insulates from the oustside of the garage with no disturbance to the inside. Prices are very reasonable

I'm wondering how they get into the stud spaces?? Instead of making holes in the sheetrock they put them in the siding and exterior sheeting?? Almost sounds more expensive in the long run.
