I would like to share some highlights of my fishing season with you, but what I really would like is for you to share some of your spring/summer fishing highlights with me! I know there are some good fish to be had yet this fall, but I know some of us start hunting and put away the fishin rod...

To kick it off I'll start w/ my canada trip begining of june.

first time seeing a bear swimming

first musky ever (and obviously setting another new PB @ 48'')

dscf1252g.jpg

and my second musky ever, same day as the one above, caught on a senko! lol. Not a new PB (44'') but still a highlight.

This IS a new PB musky. 48'', but heavier than my first!

First fish caught on a homemade fishing lure. Not my biggest salmon this year, but that was certainly the highlight, nothing more satisfying than a "do-it-yourself" lure performing better than the store-bought stuff smile

New PB carp at 15lbs

And to top it off, new PB snapping turtle (no fishing pole needed for this guy, just some guts!)

This has been the best year for fishing for me EVER. It probably helps that I'm more "into" fishing than I've ever been. It has also been my first full season fishing MN! I sure love living here full time now. Looking forward towards next season, and many more!

Great pics everyone, I love seeing that so many people had so much fun and great fishing/outdoors this past season.
