Has abybody had a problem with the reel disengaging when going into the figure 8? Mine just recently started letting out a foot or 2 of line on the 8...

Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't have mine long enough to experience that problem! On my third time out with my new Revo, it was shot. It would engage, but wouldn't retrieve the line back in. I was pretty bummed because I really liked it, but I returned it for another Calcutta.

On a side note, I was also really surprised how much plastic the Revo is made of.

I have about 50 hours on a 60HS and have no problems at all. Use for burning #8 single/double bucktails and smaller, small cranks, topwaters, med-small glide baits & WTD.

I had used 300e for more than 150 hours, more than 3/4 of them on big blades 10s n 13s with no problem at all,

My Toro has at least 100 hours (maybe double that) on it this season pulling double 10's without issue

So I got a bad reel... all Ive thrown with it is smaller bucktails, double 8's at most... I still have the warantybut I need it for the weekend and I cant afford not to have it... (my c4 sucks too) Does Thorne do over the counter returns/replacements with a reciept?

I know that pure fishing will take it back from Thorn Bros so there is no reason why the sale associate shouldn't take it back from you...
