Does anyone think Paul Allen is Delusional?

Did the train to Delusionville stop at his house?

He is such a homer.

He thinks Vikings Fans should be happy about how the team is playing and that we should not be critical of Brett Favre and how he has played.

Favre played terrible last Sunday except for the final play.

Favre played terrible? You do realize that the ONLY reason the Vikings won that game was Favre? Not only the last play, but every point put on that scoreboard was because of him and his arm. Our running game was nonexistent, he was the only thing we did have going for us. Boy oh boy!

I think it is Great to have him in there to know we will always have a chance to win every game this year... After all at least we have a Quarterback that can and has seen every defense they throw at us. And remember he does throw the ball to our recievers who has to actually catch it....

I've gotta say that I'm very happy about being 3-0. But that doesn't mean that we have to be happy with slow starts three weeks in a row. Trying to establish a running game will tend to produce slow starts, but we definitely need to come out of the tunnel with a little more purpose! I AM happy with how Favre is playing tho. When AP has had two big games, he managed the game very well and was accurate and efficient with his play. When AP struggled this past week, he aired it out a little bit, and for the first time in a long time I didn't groan every time the ball left the QB-in-purple's hand.

Why do you think they hired PA? He's an ultimate salesman and product he's selling is the Minnesota Vikings. He believes in his product and will go down with the ship if need be. He does have a way of making you get into the game listening to the radio.

Do you think any of the other professional football teams look for anything different in their radio personalities?

Cicada has it spot on. When you go to hire your "Voice" of the team, you look for the biggest homer you can find. I think he does a great job.

You can't pin too much of Favre's play on him. Some of it yea, but the team has to play better as well.

I find PA to be pretty realistic, besides when he's obviously joking (AP to have 300 yards when they pull him from the game against Detroit...at halftime.). Listen to his show every day, and there is no possible way that there is a better play-by-play radio voice in all of sports.

Can't stand the guy on the radio - when he breaks into his hip-hop routine (schnizzle, what-up, etc.) I turn it off. Kind of hard to take from a middle aged white guy from suburbia. I like the morning show and Barriero on KFAN and that is about it.

His game commentary always reminds me of the old Hank Stram clip where he says, "C'mon guys, let's keep matriculating the ball down the field". Like his enthusiasm but prefer objective analysis of the game. Not sure why he uses player's first names either.

As far as announcers go he is in the lower eschelon in my book compared to the others you hear on the highlights on ESPN.

i like paul allen. i think he has great enthusiasm for the game. he calls it like it is, which sometimes his opinion wont agree with everyone, but you cant beat the excitement he projects thru the radio. i had to listen to the game on the way back from the inlaws on sirius on sunday and he did a great job.

PA is the absolute worst radio play by play guy I've ever heard and I've listened to plenty of high school games called by local-yocals too! He is a complete fool on the radio and honestly only listen to him as an absolute last resort if I can't get to a TV.

As for Favre, he had our first 300 yard passing game in 64 games and lead us on the game winning drive with little time and no TO's. Any of our last 7 or so QB's would have gone three and out with two incompletes and one sack!

His Urban hip hop routine is annoying to say the least.

i'm pretty happy with the team forsure...we have a bunch of superstars and a few upcoming superstars and we are 3-0 so far...can't do any better then that...we've won every game so far.

PA is aight...i like the common man better though...he likes to get rises out of people...they all can be annoying at times lol
