I believe that there is a lite (free) version on itunes that has florida on it as a demo. Don't know about it otherwise though.

I do however have watermap, ice fishing minnesota on my ipod Touch. The lake selection is odd sometimes with popular lakes left out but otherwise is quite good for the money. I think they use DNR maps so the accuracy may not be the best.

I was hoping for more feed back.

I wonder if people realize that you can download the same Navionics maps to the IPhone that cost 149 on the chip (least at Reeds online) for 9.99.

Wow.....I didn't know that. Pretty cool. I'll be watching this thread for more feedback. Would be great to use for ice fishing.

Not sure a ton of people know about it, thus few responses. Not sure how accurate the GPS is compared to a regular handheld.

If it does work, it sounds like it would be a heck of a good idea/way to do it.

I just got an Iphone and immediately downloaded the map for the Lakes North. All the detail is there on the lakes I checked. Heck it even shows the resort fishing docks on Lake Osakis. I have not had a chance to check out the GPS working in conjunction with the map. I did talked to a friend who tried the South Maps on a Texas lake and he said it was dead on, on marking drop offs. He did say that using it as a GPS was not as nice as his old Garmin. But well worth the 10 bucks.

I have used this. The map has a lot of detail. However it is rather lacking as a GPS. It is difficult to mark way points and use it to get to them compared to any GPS I have seen. I was hoping for more. Basically it is worth 10 bucks but not much more.

Do a search, myself and several others have discussed this at length about a month ago. Basically, WELL worth it, and it works great. The GPS is actually even more accurate because the 3G helps fine tune position. I posted screens as well. I think in maybe the tech forum, can't recall...

edit: found it...
