Tv antenna question

Putting togehter a new house & getting to the tv antenna issue. How are the "pop-up" antenna's similar to fishhouse supply ones. I may eventually put a dish up but in the mean time, need something.

Also, how have some passed the cable thru the wall. Simply a hole w/grommet or a plate with connections bith sides.

I would do cable through the wall with grommet. The less connections, the better.

Outside connections start to corrode with the salt in the winter. I had a plate but now I take it off to run the cable thru the wall.

Those pop ups work great! Use a aluminum coax plate to hook it up and you don't have to worry about salt.

You can use a small 3' coax cable from menards that cost $1.50 and if it does corrode over a couple years, throw it away and spend another $1.50.

where did you get the aluminum plate from ?

In my old wheel house, I bought a outside TV cable jack from a camper store in Rogers. It had a plastic cover that flips up when you want to use it and flips back down to keep it covered while traveling. It works really nice. I plan on putting another one like it on the wheel house I have this year if I decide to have satelite.
