Bob Horn
It seems from the friends I have talked with the bite is a little off this year. The fish never woke up from winter. I had a good spring but after that it has been blah. The only place that I know that is still good is the Kankakee river. This colder summer sure has changed the fishing. trolloni
I think over here on the mississippi the fishing is better this year than last ,the only factor ive noticed is that the heavy rains we had every 4 to 8 days this past summer made things tough due to muddy/fluctuations in water levels.Right now it is low but still muddy from 2 weeks ago 5 inches of rain here 15 inches west of here!managed to catch 6 walleye saturday 26 inches to 19 no keepers but a lot of fun! Also got a 40 inch pike, sunday went out 4 walleye 1 keeper, 1 bluegill, 1 catfish 7 stripers, got out tonight caught 3 largemouth and a crappie standing on the bank. somedays you can smoke em and somedays you beat youre head against a bridge pier !just like anywhere good days and bad the best time to go fishin is when you can dont worry about it get out whenever you can!
