Catfish spawn.

Looks like the channel catfish are pretty much done with spawn, been catching a lot of them on the rivers Big River Mermac River and the Old Miss, Ive been using cut bait as well minows and small sunfish. Ive been running limb lines trot lines jug lines and a couple tight lines. Time to start to fill the freezer for the winter. Bass are also avail in the mourn and eve on small crank baits and spinner baits.

What part of the muddy miss are you finding cats? We were going to fish the mississippi a couple weeks ago...but decided against it. Are you catching the bass on the mississippi too?

Sorry Ive only been bass fishing on Big River... As for miss Ive been fishing by lock dam 25 I normally launch are fish around cuivre river/launch its a real short ride down to miss from there. I really just target catfish. Ive been doing some bass fishing with friends who only like to fish 4 bass. If you fish the Miss be careful Ive seen on the news 2 diff people died over the weekend on the Miss.

Where do you do your catfishing? I was thinking about going out in front of the arch......but being a newbie to that area....I'm a little hesitant because of the initimidation factor.

I should add that I am far from a catfisherman....I love trying...but am not good. I can count on one hand how many catfish I've caught. lol

Of those catfish I've counted on one hand.....NONE...that's ZERO were caught "intentionally" lol

My wife and I were talking the other night...and we may be moving at the end of this coming school year! YEEEEEHHHAAAWWWW!!

I'm tired of bowhunting in Texas...I know that. Believe none of what you see on tv about texas and deer. I'm stuck to public hunting...which is fine...have yet to shoot a deer going on year 7. It will happen this year...but then again that's what I've thought the previous 6 years. lol
