anywhere to buy tools/resources locally for lure making?

Recommended Posts

I hate paying for shipping and I love supporting local businesses, even if they are chain stores they at least employ people nearby.

Is there anywhere that sells lure making tools and supplies anywhere not TOO far from the metro area?

Anything from blocks of wood for carving cranks, to spinner supplies, to even just vice clamps for hook dressing and fly tying?

Thanks!

Thorne Bros is Fridley has lots of lure hardware and feathers/hair. I'm not sure about blanks. Depends on what you're making.

Rockler has buoyant woods like balsa. I buy some there and cut blanks and use a wood lathe to get them closer to form.

Good luck!
