Depthfinder advice

Recommended Posts

I have a 14'Lund, I fish mainly small lakes in Indiana with occasional trips to the Arrowhead region of Minnesota. Looking for advice on depthfinder. I would like to keep the price around $300. Color would be nice. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would keep your eye on HSO-Classifieds or equivalent for a used one. Lots of people upgrade electronics periodically to stay up to date with new technology. Their old ones aren't bad, just say a couple of years old. You can find good deals on there that include the owners manual. If you are new to electronics this is valuable. If you want new the Lowrance X96 is a good, powerful yet not overly complicated piece of equipment that sells for $200 at BPS although not color.

I had Eagle Fishmark 320s for a few years and recently upgraded to Lowrance (522GPS at console and 520C at bow) and am very happy with the difference in signal quality.
