Guest
Does anyone one have any suggestions on how to go about fishing for stream trout in lakes early in the season? I know that latter in the summer they tend to hang out in the deeper parts of the lake but where will they be early in the summer? I have heard stories about people catching them in shallows but 55 degrees is still quite warm for a rainbow. Do these fish deal with warm watter better than trout in streams?Any help would be great. Renneberg
55 degrees is perfect temp for rainbows. They can stand temps in the upper 60s. Early and late in the year they can be caught in the shallows with small jigs, worms spoon and flat fish casted or trolled. They are in the shallows because thats where the most food is in a lake.
