Great looking paint jobs Tom! Saw your other work on another post too. Besides [YouNeedAuthorization] do you sell them through other means? I live in your area and would love to pick up some lures with your artwork (not sure when though, still recovering from the Musky Expo eek )

Sure, be happy to do some up fer ya sometime......not only on Epay...do that only once in while...I do this it in winter for few months.

Music is loud, snow be flyen, munchies all around me, hounds at me feet...my mind wanders...end results are scarry.

smile

Did not paint anything but stuff for me this year / winter and still have six custom requests to do for couple friends of the lake before fall...no sweat.

Some time we should meet an tell me what ya want an we can get it done.

Simple is best...fun stuff.

I've dabbled with touching up some lure's with highlight colors.

Tom what do you use for this stuff, airbrush setup of sorts? I'd be curious to know the details, I think it would be fun to paint some unique customs up, good winter hobby!

Yup, old air brush...nothing fancy.

Eyes can be found online easy...paint is a mix...but mostly auto paint that thins wth water.

Glitter is a mix in, again nothing fancy.

All easy to find stuff.....fun to hunt it up or find what YOU would like to use...everyone has different techniques and styles...like when fishen or loken for women...time is a good teacher.

smile

Clear coat is nothing fancy either...any big home store has it.

Lil tricks make things go easy once you get the touch going but you will see what needs doing an not to do if you just in and just do it.

Nothing hard about it...if you keep it fun.

Tommy, you must have had too much time this winter! I have a feeling I know what colors I'm going to be trying on V this year wink I may even have to paint a Treat or two in some of those patterns.

Nice work!

Nice try Sir. Kellet, but none of them are mine....most sold to guys in UK.

Pike guys love jerk-baits an tuggers over there.

Rest to east Ontario kats....they like cosmic munchies for rivers an big water.

Of all them posted I only kept one for me...the cool looken nuke perch DD......rest all gone.

One of a kind stuff.

It you were to copy a pattern good luck, but no one cares...you would be just like anyone else dose that [PoorWordUsage]...boring...so what would be the point of that. smile

I have some sweet Vermilion patterns.....doubt you would ever see them...well maybe if you bought me a new cabin.

smile

Go sell some screws.!!!

Tom, I think Shawn was joking. I doubt anyone would try to copy your colors, or even have the time for that matter. Thanks for the pics though, pretty cool.

Tommy,

You do a helluva job. I've done well on the ones I got from you...some "interesting" colors to say the least. I think you should paint up a couple and call them "The Long Flat Friends Of Jesus In A Chartreuse Minnowbait"! laughgrin

Sheesh, I need to hit the sack...must be getting ready for another fishing season!

Paul.

    • Probably something like electric cars that was never going to happen!  Only the future will know.
    • scary interesting...
    • Article on WSJ.com today about a European clean meat startup getting nearly $9 million in funding from Merck. With big pharma in the game, is there really any doubt it will be on store shelves soon? The cattle and pork industry better come up with a "pink slime" type of name for this, or they can kiss their herds goodbye. • sorry, quoted wrong post.   If one quotes a quote, the system messes up the attribution
    • Water that doesn't come out of a plastic bottle.
    • That's YOUR opinion.    Just remember, everything is fine, in moderation.
    • I do it, have experience with both homers and shooters. I am not a die hard as I was a few years ago but will get back into more when I get a new pup here in the near future.   The birds are not to bad to care for just need food and water. My experience and most troubles have been trying to keep critters out of the pigeon loft. Mink etc like to wreak havoc and it sucks when you lose all your birds to a stupid rodent. Especially the homers after you put in all the work to get them coming back. I haven't had any issues keeping birds at home by the dogs. Best part with the homers is if I train away from home, most times the birds are back home in the loft before I get back lol.   As for working the dog, you probably want to invest in a bird launcher as well especially since your dogs a pointer. Not sure how steady your dog will be or what kind of prey drive it will have. Hopefully you letting it chase birds already didnt cause any issues. I would just slowly introduce them to the pigeons. Might even start with just clipping some flight feathers and throw it in an open area and see how your dog reacts and go from there.   It should point naturally but just use the launcher to steady the dog up. Just look up methods with a check cord etc. when using the launcher. If you want them steady to flush or steady to shot that's up to you but that's way down the road yet. Some of that  pointing should come natural but with this dog being a little older you never know what your gonna get but never too late to start either I guess.    good luck
