JohnMickish
I have a 120 volt yard/street light with a cord and plug on the end. It wroks just fine. I used it in my garage as extra lighting when needed and has a hook to hang from rafters.

JohnMickish
Pics sent. For those interested it's a metal halide lamp, 175 watt and draws 1.8 amps at 120v. It's a multi tap ballast so you can run it off of 120v, 208v, 277v, and 480v.
