  1. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SEASON IT HAS BEEN SO FAR, AND WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED! Now, certainly hitting some of the best fishing of the season for ALL species!!! Walleyes have been on the chow on most of the midsized bodies of water along the weed edges, sunken humps and bars anywhere from 12” to 28” of water. Keep an eye on the primary transition areas such as sand to muck, boulders to gravel, weeds to sand (etc.) These areas are key right now. Leech Lake does have a bug hatch going on currently, but the fish are still active and hitting. Slowing down your troll, and using simpler presentat
  2. A few friends and I gained access to a small lake recently and went out in search of Panfish. We tried some shallower water but the fish seemed to mostly be out roaming and feeding in the Basin. We didn't catch a lot of fish but the Quality was definitely there! The key to catching them was to stay mobile and only fish a hole for a few minutes before moving on and using heavy Tungsten jigs and Hardbaits to get down to the fish that you did mark quickly.
  3. Last Thursday I got out in the Metro for a few hours with a buddy. We went out in the afternoon about 2 hours before Sunset and stayed for a few hours after it got dark. With the Sun up we punched a lot of holes, camera'd them and were able to find some thick weeds holding some good sized Sunfish. We fished those for a little bit and then pulled our shacks out a mile to a major piece of lake structure only to find that it was holding ZERO fish. On the way back to our launch point we stopped to check out a deep hole and found the larger Crappies to be roaming the edges suspended in the upper ha
  4. Hi Everyone. New to the forum. I thought I would share some of my fishing reports for MN: June: 6/27-6/29 July 9-July 15th
  5. It's been a while since I've been active in fishing forums. Social media had taken over but I feel that there is more opportunity to help people and share valuable information. Hopefully I will be able to do that. That being said it's time to get down to business! I went out fishing yesterday with Brooke and Cole in search of anything that would bite. I was hoping for Crappies and to be honest we had to work at it. The first lake we hit was a bust. Bluegills were crazy everywhere we looked and they would constantly attack our baits. We decided to move lakes rather than wait 5 hours
  6. I am looking for some ideas and new lakes to explore this winter. Not looking for your hot spot and will do my own research on lakefinder. What I am hoping for is to narrow down my search based on personal experiences from members here. If you prefer to send by PM rather than post, that's fine. I live in Rochester and our immediate options are walk-on only reservoirs. I have a heavier portable and am primarily setup for ATV type portability. It doesn't look like we are going to have stable ice in the South anytime soon, and it doesn't look like my usual treks to URL and Devils Lake

  8. Springtime panfish are universally sought-out, which is mostly due to their nature of being aggressively schooled-up and more than eager to attack whatever you put in front of their stout little noses. Big sunfish and slab crappies are caught throughout the Midwestern belt during the spring season and it provides some excellent action for anglers both young and old. However, the springtime flurry doesn’t last forever and those same aggressive-natured fish will once again become less energetic and will transform into wandering nomads, only feeding when their bellies tell them to. No longer do t
