  1. Thanks for all the thoughts, and support. I am heading out to look at a dog today. I wish I had more time to look but with everything going on and work it is hard to make time. It has been very quite around here the last two days. Things will settle down in a couple of weeks and will be able to find something.
  2. This is a sad note just before christmas but, I woke up this morning and found my 5 year old brittany dead on the floor . At this pont I am not sure which direction I want to go, started dog, puppy? I don't know if anybody knows of any good dogs out there or, somebody that has a puppy or, is going to have some puppys on the way from somebody that hunts, I mainly hunt pheasants and grouse. I am also thinking of going with maybe another pointing bread, not sure at this point. Thanks
  4. I was out on a metro lake a few years ago, after I parked I got out of the truck only a few feet a way someone froze a couple of beer bottle's in a hole. It had just snowed and about a inch of them was sticking up. Boy that would of done some damage to a tire on the ice.
  5. Ok if it is cold out, no problem mix up your glue and put them on. Hook up the handle bar warmers to a 12 volt battery, be sure to do this like the show in the manual. They will heat up and no need for a heated garage. good luck
  6. You want to use 3m 33 plus as stated above. I use it on almost all my summer and winter rods and have no problems. Not all tape is the same. You get what you pay for.
  7. My boss took a piece of pvc electrical pipe and riped it on his table saw in 1/2. Measured the ski stance then took some flat head screws and screwed it to the bed of the trailer. I believe he used 1 1/4" pipe. You will need 4 stickes of pipe for this. It was a heck of a lot cheaper than the other stuff you buy. The only probem I saw with this is if you hall differant sleds, the ski stance maybe wrong.
  8. I may be in the market for a new wheeler. The problem is I don't know much about any of them. I want to use it for ice fishing is the main thing, and deer hunting. I was going to buy a 4 wheel drive, and after that things are open. One thing cost is a factor so I was thinking maybe a 400, or a 500 rather than the bigger one's. I am wondering which model and brands you guy's recomend. Also which one's have less problems and what is easier to work on. Any help would be a great help.
  9. there is a place about 1 or 2 blocks east of 35w, and about a block north of lake street. I foregot the name of the place, but I think it is called ace ice.
  10. good luck. be carefull, and that goes for all of you.
  11. When it comes to that area, navionics (lowarance) has better software than garmin. I fish the same area so I talk to people about this. garmin is ok on rainy both us and canada, but on namakan the canada side has no real detail on the maping software, so I would think that would be true on sandpoint.
  12. MY dad had the same problem with his 115merc. He had a 4 blade al propco on it. The prop was at least 5 years old and the motor had a lot of hours on it. The boat stated shaking going down the lake. If your props are new I would contact mecuary about this, maybe they know they have a problem and they will work with you
  13. There is no ban on smally's. The boys are just having some fun. They do not want anybody to eat there fish
