  1. River is coming down and stabilizing. The cooler weather on the horizon should get the bite really going. Participation looks good. Hope to see some of you there. -Shack
  2. Those guys on TFF must have a man crush on Ott. I look at it this way. Swindle wouldn't have given that info to a lesser known guy, he wouldn't have given it to a guy on day 1, 2 or 3 of the tourney regardless, we probably wouldn't have been so pissed if Seth would have finished 5th and I don't think Swindle would have given the info if he knew how tight the weigh in was going to be. Swindle is a good guy and probably wishes he would have just let things play out without his involvement.
  3. The video of it happening is on Bassmaster if you want to watch it.
  4. Classy for everyone besides the guys who Ott is beating.............
  5. Agreed! I thought guys couldn't share info, look at phones, etc. Ott is a good fisherman, but getting info like that spoils the win.
  6. Can someone give me a good place to launch and follow on Thursday?
  7. http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=741794 Details in link. Pools 4 & 5.
  8. Run down to Wabasha and fish the river. Lake Pepin in tough this time of year. Fish the slop with frogs, find current seams or wing darns, at least that is what I would do.
  9. I know this is late notice and everyone likely already has plans. But if you are looking for some good fishing and wanted to add a competitive flare to the day. Come down to the river on 5/14. I am hosting a derby down on Pools 4&5. Out of Ikes Landing in Wabasha. Blast off will be at 7:00. Five fish. $40 per boat. Only requirement is must register with Bass Boat Central as a user and provide me a user name. Details for the event are on the BBC page under the Minnesota board. Email me with any questions- [email protected] -Shack 952-201-5276
  10. Guys, For those looking for something to do this weekend with higher winds up at ML I am hosting a derby down on Pools 4&5. Out of Ikes Landing in Wabasha at about 6:15ish. 11. Thanks guys. Yes I have a pic, but not sure how to pull it off of my phone and put it on here. I am wanting some zara spook jr. in the old peacock bass pattern. Absolutely smash the small mouth on them. I will give Mike Larson a buzz. Richj-if you can send me your cell I can text the picks to you.
  12. Need some names and phone numbers for people who can paint lure locally. Willing to pay, just not an arm and a leg........ Hoping to get a few topwaters painted of an old discontinued color. Thanks, Josh Cell is 952-201-5276
  13. Check out the Duckett 7'11'' Cranking rod. They are VERY NICE. I have 2-3 of the KVD crankin rods and they are nice, but the Duckett is a better rod for crankin.
  14. That sounds like an awesome time. Curious how your experience was when you took your older boy by himself. I ask because I am going to Rainy in about two weeks and my brother is bringing his 9 year old and he will be the only kid up there.....WE have a pretty big group going, but no other kids. Good luck!!
  15. Higher decks makes sense for using a longer rod. I have a champion bass boat and I am hugging the water. Especially if I am fishing in the back. Also I meant to say 6 foot is plenty long, 5 foot would be close to snoopy pole length.
