Minnesota is a recourse state, so you can't just walk away from a mortgage anyway, so it probably doesn't matter too much whether you put up the land or a house as collateral, except possibly in the rate, depending on how you do it.    

For the canoe, it's been a big plus having the GPS, with the tracking on...........man, did I pound a select few spots this past summer.
I can recognize bass on the display at certain spots.. And I like being able to see what speeds I paddle during certain conditions. It's been a nice upgrade, user interface is pretty easy to figure out. I'd go with Garmin again if I chose to upgrade the boat locator.
Did build a waterproof  AA lithium battery box that also holds a spare set to cut the weight of that 12v gel cell for Bdub trips.
 
 

My boat is stored in unheated space over winter, batteries not plugged in.   In spring they seem to still be at like 2/3 charge.   No major problems.   Been doing it that way for 20 years.

Nectar is basically a scam.   I have switched to water and sugar, 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 by volume.   1/3 cup sugar per cup of water.   Add a few drops of red food color if you want, it doesn't seem to make much difference to the hummers up here in the nort country.  

Guy at shorelander told me that I should be sure that the rear rollers are just at the water, no deeper.   If that isn't it, then good luck.

I'm thinking veggies of various types would be interesting.   Cauliflower steaks.   Stuffed Peppers, Mexican street corn, Broccoli (not sure what to do with it exactly).   Summer squash/zucchini .   Onions.   Carrots.   Ethnic stuff like cactus.   Stuffed mushrooms.   Portabellas on bun.   Brussel sprouts.  Cabbage wedges.   

Had a banner 24 hours in my neighborhood! Saw my first oriole, bluebird, and hummingbird of the season.

Well you guys are right. That trip lever was sticking and it was just getting old. Should be getting my boat back on Tuesday and I’m back in business

One at least was back today.   Or maybe a new one.  They are hard to tell apart,  but we had  one or two on the feeder today as well.   

we had, for the first time in many years, some rose breasted grosbeaks today.  They hung around the sunflower feeder for a long time, then left. I hope they come back and weren't just stopping for a snack on the way through.

You would be better off trying to find somebody that does custom lure painting to repaint the baits you like to be the color you like.   Or get a spray can or two or an airbrush set from netcraft or somebody and give it a try.   I am not of the opinion that fish pay much attention to the pretty paint jobs anyway.
