Ultimate fighting swallow style.

A large group of tree swallows has showed up this spring making the competition for nest boxes real fierce in my yard. I was watching two tree swallows duke it out for about a half hour before I grabbed the camera. They started in the air and took it to the ground for an all out wrestling match. The whole flock was swarming around them getting in on the action and when I came out they on lookers started dive bombing me to keep the match going. Things are only going to get more heated when the bluebirds show up and decide they want their own nest box.

Super! Nice! behavior shots. Great color on your images. I've only seen two so far this year. Most of them must have flew right over us on a good day. They do quite a bit of nesting here and are quite competitive with Bluebirds as well.
