Scott M
I have always wondered, why is there such a range in colors of lab eyes? A guy was walking his dog in the park yesterday and the thing had the yellowest puppy dog eyes. My dog has a real dark brown chestnut color, and a few waterfowler magazines have these close up shots of labs with bright rust red colored eyes. Is there a breed standard for eye color? Just curious.
Ralph Wiggum
From the AKC breed standard: Quote:Eye color should be brown in black and yellow Labradors, and brown or hazel in chocolates. Black, or yellow eyes give a harsh expression and are undesirable.
