Who else has had problems with this model. I'm on my third one and need to send it back.

Here's the problem, it locks up. First one locked up in Canada during a fishing ttrip. Not good. Contacted the company and they were good to work with. Problem was when I got the second unit it locked up also. Was able to finish the season before sending unit back in. Got the 3rd unit in November after the boat was stored for the winter. Pulled out boat last weekend hooked up the new locator and same thing. The only way to unlock is to disconnect power cord, remove chip. reinstall power cord, turn on unit and once started put chip in. Should not have to do this in this order.

Last fall when I sent the second unit in I enclosed my lake master chip so they could see what happens. Got a new e-mail yesterday saying send unit in and also send chip with. Opener 2 weeks away not really what I wanted to here. Have heard they are having alot of problems with this unit.

Any suggestions or others with same problem?

    • Just go back to the period in the USA before all those agencies the Libertarians hate were formed.  Say maybe 1870 to 1910?   For example the panics of 1873 and 1907 led to the forming of the Federal Reserve.  (Incidently the panic of 1873 was triggered by the failure of a "systemically important" bank called J Cooke& Company failed.  But he got a state park named after him)  Also please review the effects of the coinage act of 1873.    In the case of food safety one only has to look at the recent scandals in China with Melmac in the baby formula, or read "the Jungle" by Sinclair Lewis.   Anti-Trust, which takes away the rights of individuals to engage in cartels and monoplies?  Check out old John D Rockefeller, and Standard Oil.     Drugs?  If you don't want to go back to the legal drug era and patent medicines, snake oil and other things that led to the passage of the pure food and drug act in 1906, just look at today's supplement industry that was exempted from government scrutiny pretty much by a bill sponsored by Orin Hatch of Utah.   One big problem in supplements is many either don't contain what they say they do, or they contain stuff they don't put on the label.  Of course Libertarians probably don't want to require contents to be listed on the label anyway.     Segregation and stuff like the EEOC?   That wasn't a problem in the old days, since the minorities knew their place and stayed there.  And if they didn't the cops saw to it that they learned.  /sarc   These things that suppress your freedom happened for a reason.   They did not just spring up like Athena from the forehead of Zeus.
