Moe Szyslak
I have read a few reviews from other sites stating its almost impossible to use unless in deep water due to the rate at which it sinks but the Rapala site says "Topwater". Any reviews/comments?
polarsusd81
I have not used one yet, but looking at them in the store I can tell you it is nowhere near a topwater. It does sink fast, so if you want to fish less than 12 feet of water you are going to need a long rod to keep it up high. I plan to toss one soon on my new 7'-10" Clarus. I will be sure to report back when it happens. To me, this particular bait looks to be best suited to fishing parallel to deep weedlines and searching deeper flats. When you find the fish, switch it up to a drop shot and pick em off.
Bass Whacker
ive throwen them a few times and they are NOT top water baits but as long as you dont give the lure a chance to sink much at the start you can can actually fish them fairly shallow like 5-6 feet isnt out of the questain. someone correct if im wrong but i thought i heard that the smaller models are coming out in the near future that will be a huge improvement
Cecil
You heard correctly. Not sure on a date yet. If you want them to run shallower, make sure to keep your rod tip up.
