4 posts in this topic

I barrowed 10 gage from a buddy and he gave me some shells with it. They are 3 1/2 #2 bb and the other is 3 1/2 copper 6 shot. Im asumeing there will be more bbs with the 6 shot. Which one of these loads should I be useing for turkey??

Thanks in advance.

I believe you must use shot size #4 and smaller(higher number). I've had good results with #5 copper plated lead. They did the job yesterday morning for me. DrJ.

Anythig over #4 shot is illegal for turkeys in this state you cannot even have them in your vest while in the field. And for the #6's teir a great load but you have to pattern your gun to find out your effective range for that shot and choke combination some guns are very picky.
