******************************

I'm not liking how the Vikings season concludes. 3 teams that should be in playoff contention, 2 of which are prime time games.

Okay, I'll be the first down the gauntlet. I think its going to be a logjam of mediocrity, nobody runs away with it. Throw on a +/- of one game onto each team and I bet I'd be pretty close. Tiebreakers are going to decide it and GB manages to have a better division record. You heard it here first eek

Packers 9-7

Vikings 9-7

Bears 9-7

Lions 8-8

Here is my prediction and I'm sticking to it until the end of the season.

VIKES 11-5

Bears 10-6

(we'll take that monday night game at the end of the season)

Pack 8-8

Lions 6-10

vikes 9-7

pack 9-7

lions 4-12

bears 8-8 or 9-7 depending on the last 2 weeks.

I think the vikes have the most potential to break it open with maybe a 12-4 season but we'll see. The need to show me more from the Qb spot before I put them there and it will also depend on the defense with the Williams boys facing possibly suspension. But we will also have EJ back in at LB.

I agree except I give the Vikes a 9-7, unless of course they actually decide to add some good players to the team yet this off season.

I agree with Leechbait, except I'll take the Vikings at 12-4.

We'll kill the Giants at home the last game of the season, and look at how we embarrassed Arizona last year...I'll be looking for that again too.

For those of you predicting an 11-5 or 12-4 season who are you predicting we lose to?

I want to believe 11 or 12 wins but we didn't improve over the offseason if anything we got worse so I can't really see any more then 9 wins.

Boooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Just like ever year I have "faith" in the old vikings. I would never predict another team in our own division to do better than us. I could care less if I'm way off on my predictions, I'll leave that up to the experts.

I agree nofish I would say 9-7 as well. Some pretty high expectations considering the majority were saying we don't have a QB or a head coach, the two most important areas of a team.

Vikes 9-7 - Vikes win as they beat the pack twice.

Pack 9-7

Bears 8-8

Lions 4-11 and that's pushing it.

If we are having that good of a season we will probably lose to the lions for that good old viking reality check.

Ok Eyehunter- of course they will beat the Giants because they (the Giants) will have their starters on the bench due to wining the division already thats a given.

Sandman- I am laughing at you saying they will beat the Packers twice, did you notice they play the Pack in Nov?? thats a loss for sure for the Vikqueens in COLD WEATHER!!

Pier- I agree with you what you have predicted couldnt be more on..

Vikqueens fans- Do you know who your starting Qb will be this year?? Kinda hard to predict how they will end up without knowing wouldnt you say???

Packers had a pretty good starting QB last year, they'll end up being a joke AGAIN, like they were last year.

It'll be Sage as the starter, it'll be an improvement over last year.

Bears 10-6 win North

Vikes 9-7 get Wild Card

Packers 8-8 maybe get Wild Card

Lions 4-12 Kevin Smith gets Pro Bowl consideration

I would go with the Vikes to win the North, but with Chi Towns addition of Cutler and Pace (if he stays healthy) gets my nod

Vikes 12-4

Bears 10-6

Packers 8-8

Lions 6-10

I'm sticking with the Vikes 2 win incremental increase.

Bears have improved over last year. The lost draft picks won't catch up to them for a year or two.

Rodgers gets hurt half-way through season and Pack get lucky to win 8 games.

Lions will suprise some people this year.

For those of you predicting an 11-5 or 12-4 season who are you predicting we lose to?

Possible losses to Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Carolina and the 4th was thrown in for a bad day against a division rival, not going to say which one, because like leechbait I am a viking faithfull and would never predict a loss to the bears or the packers.

    • Was doing some work in the woods today and found these. Of course I stopped and spent two hours looking for more, but this was it. Oh well, will probably be the earliest I've ever gotten to eat them.
    •   I would definitely get the one with the Pheasant plowing attachment! Beats walking the fields!
    • Never getting rid of my Suburban. Just looking for a new toy for hunting etc. that I can drive down narrow dirt roads up north. Another reason why I would rather buy a slightly used one so I can use it without worrying about putting a few scratches on it. Those side by sides look like fun but you have to haul them around and cant drive them everywhere. And they just aren't built to take what a Jeep can. Always kind of liked the looks of Jeeps and being able to remove the top in the summer is nice to. Would definitely want a hard top to as the soft tops aren't to good for MN winters. I'm sure the newer ones have better heaters than the older ones as I remember back in the day guys were dressed like they were snowmobiling while driving their Jeep. And scraping frost off of the window to see.
    • I went through the same thing. I had ATV's at first then bought an RZR. It was fun but honestly the quality for the price is pretty bad. You can go up to a Can Am but then the price is even worse. So a few years after I sold the RZR I got the itch again but then started looking at the Wranglers and ended up doing that. I bought a 2006 with the 4.0 and after that and buying a used 6.6' plow I was into it for less than 13.5k and can drive it everywhere.   I have the hardtop on mine. I just take it off in the summer and drive it when it's nice. IMHO it's the way to go but you need to watch out for ones that are rusted out. I take the doors off, the top off and drive around sniping gophers, head to the lake or just cruise around. I like the 32" BFG KO tires.
    •   What's a big guy like you going to do with a little SUV?  Your still keeping the truck to pull that new trailer right?
    • Good luck, have fun and stay topside this time of year.
    • Did you have to sand in between coats of lacquer? I was going to use a pre catalyzed lacquer for a little more durability, but it seems like it would take forever to get in all of the grooves.
    • Some of the older ones had a 4 cylinder. Think the new ones only have a 6 now.
