Rough Fish Contest

There will be a Rough Fish contest on Silver Lake in Silver Creek, MN on May 2nd at the Sportsman's Club. They have a bad problem with the carp in that lake

No idea on the prizes, just seen the post on their board

What are they planning on doing with the rough-fish when someone catches them. Doesn't sound like a catch and release type event. Fertilizer??

In Long Lake at their Carp contest they just put the Carp on the scorching hot pavement or in the bucket of a bulldozer just slowly suffering. Never thought this was right, but let it be.

Im sure they will throw them on a field considering the usuals around there farm.

As for more information I couldn't tell you. We're a group that shoots on Tuesday nights, and no one else is around there the rest of the week.

Best bet would be to just show up

they should just smoke it all and have a big smoked carp feed... mmm.. smoked carp.. delish.. been ages since i had some.. since the fish market shut down a couple years back
