G.C. Kinglet

Had a few minutes to scout while the sun was out after work today and as soon as I went out the sun went under. mad

Maybe the Lord is trying to tell me something?

Anyway, indeed the Kinglets are here,as are the others I suspected. These images are not too good in quality as I only had a few seconds to shoot the little bugger and he was backlit and jumping all over the place, and the light was fading fast-whew! how many excuses is that?. I was also too stupid to remember to set to spot metering as is often needed for targets this small. [what's one more excuse?] Lucklily,I shot raw and pulled up 1.5 stops to make him visible-hence,all the purple fringing.

Not complaining,that's why I like them-they're a challenge.

Looking forward to another chance at him this weekend in some good light!

What a stripe!

I dared him to jump over that branch

Neat shots of a bird I've never seen, MM! Especially a levitating one!
