The grouse are drumming!.....tough to actually get them on camera drumming since they see you (and hear you) coming yards away with the crunchy snow and all...I may as well have been wearing a box of corn flakes on each foot! grin...I had the good fortune to see 3 different grouse this morning and "homed in" on one particular grouse doing the drumming....the other 2 were within a 100' of the guy on the drumming log...nice to watch em! grin

this guy was on the log drumming...image taken about 50' away...he stood motionless for about 5 minutes waiting for me to exit the area...

I noticed a downy woodpecker in the foreground as I was taking the images grin...
