hahah fresh nomex straight from mifc i believe. I dunno why we have to send our gear back every year, I like it broken in and used looking. I told my crew members they oughta roll around in the black to at least look like they'd been on a few fires before. burn was down by rushford - have some fire pics from last year but those are the only decent ones from this year

well apparently we were going to be called out for that fire, but we had to be demobilized in order to make it to work today. so i think mifc didn't want us going out unless we could commit to being out there for as long as it took. bummer, would have loved to work some wildfire instead of a 2 acre prescribed burn!

Good stuff, goblue!

Are you SURE this wasn't a planned photo op? The times I've been along on presribed burns as a newspaper writer or photographer, the Nomex was so broken in you had to hunt to find the yellow. gringrin

Again, nice pics! smilesmile
