IFallsRon, you need to look at the rosters if thats what you think because i played 2 years at gustavus and we had about 4 or 5 kids who played DI first. i also know 3 who are playing in the minors. ya some weren't "the best on their team" but no average high school player is playing DIII hockey right now.

I agree crappieflop. At the very worst the D3 teams are high school all star teams. Then you add in some guys with D1 and Jr experience, a few Canadians and you have some competitive hockey. These guys are older, faster, and stronger.

Not to take anything away from the State Tournament because we all know its great hockey but a D3 team should be able to win the AA tourney fairly easy. I'm sure a few high school team could give a D3 team a run for their money and even pull off an upset now and then but I don't think it would happen to often.
