4 posts in this topic

The entire NFL exhibition schedule was released today and includes a Week 3 matchup between the Vikings and Texans in Houston at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31 on ESPN.

The Vikings will open the preseason against the Colts in Indianapolis on either Aug. 14-15 before playing host to Kansas City on Aug. 21 or 22. The Vikings will then close the preseason on either Sept. 3 or 4 against Dallas at the Metrodome. The Cowboys HSOforum has the game listed as being on Sept. 4. The opener against Indianapolis will feature the Vikings’ first appearance in Lucas Oil Stadium, which opened last season. The exact dates for the Colts and Chiefs games will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Colts, Chiefs and and Cowboys games will air locally on KSTP (Ch. 5). KFAN (1130 AM) and KTLK (100.3 FM) will carry all four games on radio.

They won't give a time other than by mid-April.

Best guess is they will come out right after the first full week in April.

    • Dishwasher for me if I don't get to them right away like thirdeye.
    • I sprayed mine almost a month ago.  An ortho product that seamed to work.  All that's left is the dead grass it choked out.
    • Now that rubechat forums are history....   Lets light this place up...Rubes!
    • We spent the past week in Door County Wisconsin on vacation with 4 other couples and our campers. I had it all lined up for 6 members of our group to go out on a chartered fishing trip in the early morning of Thursday. The charter called me at 8:00 Wed. evening to inform me that the boat had broken down and wouldn't be fixed until later that day and there were no available re-scheduling opportunities until Monday.    GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
    • Well looks like the draft came and went without much fireworks, sounds like Fletcher didn't like any of the offers so he is going to wait to make a move. Hard to see us fitting under the cap or filling out a full team without moving Scandella or Pommers so we will see what happens.

Of course drafting from the 3rd round on doesn't lead to many super exciting players but it sound like we got a couple midgets with some skill and several projects. Our big off season move might have been keeping everyone through expansion.
    • My only concern is the timing of all of this. We seem to be loading up for a run in the next year or two but the Warriors are still sitting there stacked beyond belief.  Can we add enough and develop our young guys enough to be a legit threat to the Warriors.  Lebron, Irving, and Love barely made the Warriors break a sweat in the finals.  I'd like to see them time their final acquisitions to correspond with the end of the Warriors run.
    • Maybe line up all the non-compliant VW's and gas 'em all out with diesel fumes.
    • Glad Lavine is gone! Added nothing but slam dunks to the team. I've been out of town for the past week, so I was very delighted to hear about this trade today.
    • Not unless they ban the toothpick crossbow here too. Takes those beetles out clean.
