To all those who worked, helped, and prayed for Fargo and the communities to the North and South of us, thank you so much. I can't put to words the amount of appreciation that is coming your way.

The emotional roller coster we've been on is unbelievable. The effort has been enormous and although we've had some significant and terrible losses (e.g., Oak Grove), we've done really well to hold our own so far. We're far from done, but things are finally turning the right direction.

I've learned a lot about people through this whole thing. The effort that perfect strangers have put in has been incredible. The Hesco (modular dike material) behind my brother's house was failing on Thurs and we had to build a secondary dike- the plan was for a 15' wide, six feet high, and 80 yards long sandbag dike behind the primary Hesco dike. Before we knew it, there were 250 people (some from all over MN, ND, and he Midwest) in his yard filling spots in eight lines throwing bag after bag. In three hours the whole crew put that sucker together- it was absolutely a monumental task that amazed me. It was one of dozens and dozens of examples I've seen through this mess that has positively restored my faith in people and humanity.

Thank you to all of the National Guard, police, fire fighteers, Coast Guard, and volunteers for this incredible and awe-inspiring effort.

    • Still best smoked, as they are an oily fish, too.
    • I am having the same issue with mine. I believe it's a gen 2 that's 2 years old but only been out 3 times now. Took it out last weekend for the first time this year and the hose was stiff and the fittings leaked. I contacted jiffy and they said it needed to go to a service center to be repaired. I called the service center and they would have to order the part anyway. I've tried finding the hose around town but everywhere is sold out. That's definitely going to put a damper on the nice weekend coming up. I'm really kicking myself for going with the propane and not an Ion. This auger was my first experience with jiffy after having and Eskimo and strikemaster. My strikemaster was the 3 blade that had some issues with bending the blades. I called them to find out if there was a replacement that I could buy and they ended up swapping it for free and this was after having it for 6-8 years. I'm very disappointed in the service from jiffy on a 2 year old auger with defective parts.
    • For me Tullies have always been rather strong flavored. Always needed a lot of smoke to cover that up.
    • Looking forward to the results of your experiment.
    • And now today is Wednesday.  So There.
    • a quick blurry shot and off they went. still trying to get them together in a good shot. maybe some day.
    • I posted that several days ago, although if you know what interest rates will be doing over the next several years you have better ways to spend your time than posting here.    You would no longer have to work for a living for sure.     To refresh your memory, the 9.1 trillion that you and Rand Paul are so upset about would not increase the debt to GDP ratio, assuming a 5% growth in Nominal GDP, which would be 3% growth and 2% inflation.      Do you have a figure for acceptable level of Debt to GDP?
    • Right.  Sometimes Obama wasn't Progressive enough.  Bernie was more your speed.
    • This is America.  We have computers and printers.  You can print it and frame it and hang it on your wall.  Nothing stopping you.   In fact Costco will print it on Canvas for you.     Please, post a picture of your office with it framed on the wall.
