Moses2531
I will be moving to the Philadelphia area next fall for Optometry school and would like to get involved on this forum early. In general is there any good fishing opportunities in the area? I'm from Minnesota, so naturally have a liking to Walleye fishing, any chance I could keep my old habits in my new home? I've only visited once so any information would be great!
Flaco651
This morning I was watching Mike Iaconelli's show City Limits Fishing and he was fishing the Delaware River right near downtown philly. He was catching largemouth and smallmouth bass. I looked up the Delaware river and it says walleye are in there, along with catfish, LM bass SM bass, Striped bass, and even tiger musky. Probably plenty of other species in there too being a river system.
Moses2531
Hey that sounds like a neat show! I appreciate you forwarding me the info! Looks like river fishing it is then!
Flaco651
Its a pretty good show. Mike travels to cities all over and will set a target specie or a goal of some sort and gives himself a time limit. I've seen the show in philly, nyc, and chicago so far. He talks to random people in these cities about the particular body of water he plans to fish. Most respond with things like they didn't think there were fish in there or they never seen anyone fishing around there and stuff like that.
