They'll get just as cold ; - ) But they probably won't taste good if you plan on cooking them at a later date. Blanching stops the ripening process. I blanch mine but have never tried freezing without blanching. Maybe try some blanched and some not. If it works for you let us know. jerkbait Posted March 5, 2009 Share Posted March 5, 2009 When we had a garden we used to freeze the Green beans all the time. Always tasted great when we took them out and cooked them.
