My other half and I Love your Guard Dog Steve. Dora (my other half) calls him the Fisher Dog. I can't wait till we move into our new place so I can get myself a fishing partner like yours.

Thanks again guy's for the nice words. Max is really something special and I love having him on the lake with me. His new Indian name is "P00Ps on ICE" He loves sleeping in the trap and when I move spots he just lay's there. He really appreciates it when he is in the sun sleeping, Man does this dog snore!!

Allen had a great time fishing and on Monday we each caught a limit of Crappies plus a bunch of Gills.

Steve, I think he will do good in the LUND you might have to take up duck hunting though.I am sure he will like the open water there is no doubt about that all you need to do is train him on find the walleyes Max and then you won't need GPS wink.

    • Oh yeah.  I keep forgetting about all that modern computer stuff in cars.   So the computer would notice the tranny didn't shift all the way down as the car stopped?     There goes that theory.    And why only after a couple hours of driving?   Some sort of overheating of the transmission fluid?  cooler plugged in the flush process?    Here is a question for Carpmaster..... Is it different in the summer vrs winter?   Like you only have to drive 50 miles in summer and 200 in winter?   You guys that actually know can feel free to ignore my suggestions if you don't want to waste time answering.
    • leech, it does sound like an odd concocktion.  but you gotta try it.  225 for 2 hrs, helps if u use thin bacon.
    • nw wisconee private marsh
    • Sorry, I thought the model was listed on the title of my question.  Anyway, Garmin 53dv EchoMap.  This one has downview, but is chirpless.  Seems like nice unit, tough.  Just wondered about those 2 wires.  Thanks.
    • should trigger a check engine light....
    • OK, just from what I am reading and never having been to mechanic school.... Is it possible that when the car comes to a stop that the transmission doesn't, for reasons unknown, downshift to first but stays in a higher gear?  Then when starting out after a few seconds it does downshift to first with a jolt?  Being in too high a gear would account for the slow acceleration and the downshift would be the jolt.  Staying in too high a gear would make a shudder maybe. It did in my old stick shifts .
    • Do you know the name of the guy, CigarGuy?  I'm guessing the answer is "Yes", but I've had a couple of beers.
    • seeing I will not have a bonus tag the does are safe at Ripley but a buck will need to be wall hanger before I shoot
    • You did not identify the model of your Garmin  sorta important when wiring. If your Garmin is a Striker, than the other two wires brown and blue are not used. Also note the date on the install instructions. The ones dated before March 2016 did not include the wiring information.   This site might have some answer. http://www.gpscity.com/questions?qid=56118
