Tank dent repair and painting

2 posts in this topic

I had a bracket fall off a shelf in my garage and put a couple of nice dents in my gas tank. The tank was not perfect before that but was pretty nice for it's age. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in the south metro that could fix those dents and repaint for me. It is a 1983 Kawasaki 550 and I would just want the basic paint job that it came with.

I think you would be money ahead to find a used tank from one of the motorcycle salvage yards. Otherwise most any auto body shop could take care of it.

    • Now this is where Donald Trump's political amateurism is showing   He doesn't know that you're not supposed to announce during the  course of a campaign how you're going to get even with those who wronged you. You are supposed to wait until you're elected first and then get your pay back like Hillary is doing
    • So you are OK with MnSure?
    • I didn't ignore the pic, you may have missed my post stating that I have individual plugs for each wire. I assumed that type of plug was not applicable for my trailer. Apparently Shorelander has changed the connection. All the crimp plugs I have seen at automotive stores, Northern, or Ace hardware have been too large.   I appreciate the help and the offer but I'm in town near Oakdale and I'll run out there to Fleet and pick one up.   It's amazing that such a small part can be so difficult to locate. My Shorelander manual doesn't show any electrical wiring nor list any of it as a part number.
    • Congrats Archerysniper!!  I hope I can add to this page this year...going out this afternoon for a sit
    • I grew up in Michigan which allows you to take 2 bucks per year if you buy the combo license. The catch is the second one has to have 4 or more points on one side. Also, in the last Few years or so the state has implemented areas of APR which obviously restricts the first one. It's been some time since I lived there, but I can tell you that I've never personally seen a deer that had 4+ on one side. I'm sure that is a product of the any first buck rule.
    • Excited? Nope, just a healthy dose of common sense. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. And like I've said before, no matter who wins, we will have our first woman president.
    • So you're more into the socialist, single payer healthcare system that Trump is proposing. Got it.
    • Isn't is hard to see from down there with your eyes closed?
You sound excited about the wake of victims left by the Clinton's, both sad and scary that she still has supporters.
    • Sort of like how you, and all the other Republicans and Democrats suppress 3rd party voter turnout?
