MN Shutterbug
My suet feeder I hung at the state park, is starting to pay off. I found this nuthatch, 3 chickadees and 1 downy, visiting it this morning. I'm still hoping for the larger woodpeckers to find it. The only drawback is, I have to go back and refill it. It's large enough to hold 4 suet blocks, although I make my own, so it does last longer. I believe this block lasted close to 1 1/2 weeks. JayinMN
Nice shot, I don't have any good WB nuthatch shots. I have a pair that visit my feeders, but it seems like they only come when I am inside.
mmeyer
Very nice X! That's cool that you've found a little piece of heaven around home!
MN Shutterbug
Thanks, guys. Actually MM, I had to create my little piece of heaven. I hear red bellies every time I'm out there and I understand there are a couple pileateds in the park too. I just have to be patient and spend more time out there. I did come across a small flock of robins out there this morning. They're a little early. At least it's only 18 miles round trip.
