hookertoo
I think I'll stick to a hole size that my foot won't go through.

Big Buck Buster
I use a 5",and 7" lazer on a Ice Gator power head. Had a 10" Strikemaster, but didn't like the big hole after my son fell into one up to his waist. No more of the big 10 for me.

If not, do you know if this would work?

I asked Greg if they are coming out with one that will work for a 10", and he said that they are working on it.
Drewski
For power augers, 8" is perfect. For hand a 6" is all you need.
walleye-
I have an 8 and 9 I love the nine
bustin lips
10" is the perfect size for a lantern to fall down the hole.
hunt&fish89
pretty sure a lantern would fall down a 9" hole and possible even a 8"
kosterguide
i have come to love ten inch holes but also come to hate them at the same time, i have lost lots of things down there
Jim Cramer
I have done them all and I personally think a 8 inch hole will work just about all of the time, a 10 inch is just to easy to step in to.
LindyRigga
7" for hand augers...better piece of mind. 6" scare me on lakes with big fish, not that they necessarily wouldn't fit, but its harder to get the fish's head started up a smaller hole. If I didn't mind more of a work out, I'd go with an 8".
kosterguide
i am not scared of using small hole for big fish i am scared i have landed a 28 inch with a 6 inch hole
Thump'n em big
10 inch is the way to go you can get your hands in the hole to help the fish out a lot easier instead of having to even try to lift it out by the line also if you have the right auger it doesnt take any longer to cut a
pdk511
but that same auger with a 8 would cut faster...
