BucksnDucks
10 in. for walleye fishn, though the lighter weight of 8 in. sure is nice when drilling lots of holes for pannies!
Flooringuy
10 for me. Gives me plenty of room for the transducer.
broman
I prefer 10, but use 6 because I like to drill alot of holes.
aanderud
I like fishing in 10s but I don't like that they take longer to drill and that my tiny feet will fit in one. Those reasons make my favorite all around hole an 8 incher.

Sandmannd
I prefer 8, 10 seems really big. Last night my 3 year old stepped in an 8" hole, if that woulda been a ten, she coulda been gone.
pdk511
you cant beat the good ole 8 inch, works great. Maby use a 6 hand auger in early ice though. Ive never used a 10 inch but i suppose if someone i was fishin with had a 10 inch auger i would use em for tip ups though.
FasterThanYou23
I think a 9" is perfect
stumper
I like fishing out of a 6 if there isnt a freezing shut issue. Main reason is that I have had some nice fish come off just as I lift them from the water and with the 6 inch hole they dont have room to turn and get away. Cold_blood
8" but i do like the 10s just can't afford an auger that'll do it
Northlander
9" would be ideal.

harvey lee
I have yet to catch a fish that would not come through a 8 Inch hole. I drill a seperate hole for my flasher.I use to use a ten but never found a reason that I really need that big of a hole and its dangerous for people with smaller feet.Yes, it can turn their ankles or a childs leg can and will fall in. mrmanners
9" with the flasher or two 8" works good both ways.
Chef
I have 10" and use a 8" manual for backup and early ice...
BigWadeS
9" since that is what was on the auger when I bought it
snoozebutton
10 in. for walleye fishn, though the lighter weight of 8 in. sure is nice when drilling lots of holes for pannies! That's what I do but my 10" auger is old and a real beast, that and I need new blades for it. The 8" I bought new last year just for late ice panfishing and when you can't drive out.
