      Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

      Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Lap top not picking internet

I have two PC's and a lap top all working fine until a week ago and now the lap top won't connect to wireless unless I unplug the router cable and go direct, is the only way I can get the internet. Some one told me, maybe I have a bad wireless card but I would not even know what to look for or where to buy. Is this something I will probably have to take into to best buy?? Ticks me off, 14 months old, so its 2 months out of warranty.

This happens to mine occasionally. There are 2 reasons in my situation that it happens. I have my wireless router set up to not broadcast the SSID, and to only allow specific MAC addresses to access the network. For whatever reason, once and awhile my laptop can't see the network anymore. To fix that, I temporarily broadcast the SSID, and once the laptop picks it up I disable the broadcast again. The second thing I have to do about once every couple of months when it doesn't work is to unplug the power from the wireless router for about 30 seconds and plug it back in. It works again after that. I have a Linksys router that I've had for about 4 yrs now and these are the only 2 "issues" I've had with it. Good luck!

Check to see if your lap top has a manual switch to turn your wireless assistant on and off. I have bumped mine off a few times. The icon that tells you that it is on or off only shows up for about a second, so it is easy to miss.

Let's start simple. Make sure that the wireless card is not turned off. Most laptop have a button that turns the wireless off and on. Also right click on the my computer icon and go to manage and then device manager and make sure the wireless card is not disabled. If all that checks out go to your wireless setting and redo your wireless setup.

I am guessing something in those items listed will be the issue.

I have had a couple of similar problems. First of all power down your router, wait, and turn it back on. I would also restart your computer while doing it. I have had problems with the addresses between my router and computer and rebooting both seems to solve it.

I've had problems with my wireless getting slow - rebooting my computer seemed to help for a while. But the fix was taking it back to Best Buy and the 'Geek Squad' updated my wireless router driver and it hasn't given me any problems since. I wouldn't buy any laptop with less than the 3 year warranty. It's a little more expensive but well worth it.

That's what I do (D-Link router) and it always works. Also there should be a reset on the back of the router, make sure you hit that.

Not sure about, i will have to get a hold of the person who hooked the router up.I know I get pop ups from the Linksys router so i would say yes but, I have not seen that for some time.

    • There's really no wrong way of doing a roast if ya ask me, it's all personal preference. Crockpot,  roaster, oven or boiled (del) . Although I do enjoy throwing cold smoke this time of year at a roast before it hits the roaster!!

    • Yer gonna be blowin' chunks one of these days, Delbert. Why not just an easy overnight marinade, then in the crackpot on low, and lift that lid a few times to keep the heat low? I always pull mine at 4-5 hours on LOW, not the 6-8 they say. I have about 155* internal and still pinkish at that, and I have 3 different crackpots I use. Never had it fail in oh, ten or fifteen years.....maybe because I always do a top round or rump, instead of an arm or chuck. You DO  occasionally get a tougher one, that has a lot of sinew in it, that's why I eyeball mine so carefully. (working 2 yrs at the butcher shop helped, too) I always let it sit in a covered glass dish for 10-15 mns before I start slicing away....
    • I worked with stainless for 28 years, it's the way to go.
    • Yeah, I forgot to include the LEM, which is basically the Rikon with a different badge. I know that style will cut better and definitely be a better unit. Just not sure if I am going to justify the price at 2x higher for a very occasional piece of equipment.    A wood bandsaw could be used. The saw doesn't know whether it's cutting meat or wood. The difference is that a stainless table and blades would be preferred IMO. Cleanup probably isn't much different between all of them.
    • Paint is roughy just used what I had but pretty dang happy with it for 30 bucks.  First charcoal test lasted 6-7 hours.A5B3A72F-6F87-445B-949E-92B20BF41ECF.MOV  
    • I still think sous vide is the ticket if you want the lean roast to be tender, juicy, and pink .  (must resist temptation to insert inappropriate remark here) Next I think I will try the accelerated simulated dry aging where the meat is brushed with fish sauce before sealing in the bag and going in the refrigerator, and then held at 103 for an hour or so (not too long) in the bath before cooking at 130.  
    • I purchased the FLX-28 last season after using the 18 for several years and wow, what a night and day difference!  I really enjoy the auto depth range feature and digital depth readout.  No more taking time to guess the depth!  Weed mode rocks in shallow water weeds when I'm looking for 'gills.  The two zoom zones are great especially for suspended crappies when the 6 foot bottom zoom isn't enough.  Now the bottom 12 feet is there.  Great battery life and it's much quieter than the 18.  Color customization is nice (I have it on palette 3) and I don't have any interference from any other flasher thanks to 20 rejection modes.  I've seen the Marcum 6 and 7s in action and they are also very nice units and allow for lots of customization.  Biggest issue is time to learn the features and the price point.  Still hard to beat the quality of Vexilar or the service the company provides!
