Just heard that my beloved Pale Hose are sniffing around Bobby Abreau. Anybody else hear anything along those lines?

Still has a lot of game left. Would be a good pick up. Can't believe he hasn't been signed yet.

probably has something to do with how much he and his agent are asking for. a.k.a. manny and his agent not accepting a one year 25 million offer.

some of these aging super stars just have to accept the fact that they aren't going to command top dollar anymore.

MLB on XM radio reported yesterday that the offer was 8 million.

The Sox would need to trade Dye before taking on more salary.

Perfect signing for the Sox. Old guy that costs alot. He is a professional hitter though. Would be an ok pickup. His fielding is nothing special though.

When will they learn. They did best when they went with youth, speed, and guys the play the game hard. Member 06?

That maybe true, but those old cootes beat us last year frown

Actually 4wand we beat them. Both teams played a full 162 game season ending with the same record and we won the season series 10-8.... which means we were a better team...period end of discussion.

The Sox will have to dump Jermaine Dye before signing BA.. in other words it aint happening!

Nice catch Wandering, don't want to open that Pandora's Box again, you can see the evil spirits already leaking out from Pier. We know who won and who went home early but no need to stir that pot anymore....I GUESS I JUST DID! Oh well, Spring Training is right around the corner, might as well get the party started! LOL

How could you consider the Whitesox a better team then the Twins last year?

Even with the ROB JOB playoff game at the weeker teams site we still in-spite of that travisty had a 10-9 advantage?

Ok just to keep it simple, how about I say them old cootes are almost or just as good as our young upcoming team!

But we were the ones watching all of the playoffs on tv, instead of playing!

Keep stirring that pot Wandering! I Love It. Maybe I can find a picture of our 2008 Division Champs hat and post it here! LOL

If you look at the record books it shows the Sox as Central Division Champs, ask Pier what it says after the Twins, go ahead ask him! LOL

Sled,

I don't think the playoffs went out to the smaller markets! Or maybe you did not have enough aluminum foil on the rabbit ears!

Actually the White Sox were in the playoffs but as usual no-body cared or can remember it..... smile

If memory serves me right they got swept?... Wait maybe Blogolevich paid off his Mob Buddy's and the Sox won A game. Thats how they roll in Chi Town ya know!

Pier,

Actually they did manage to win one game and Blago is a Cubs fan. Our number one fan now resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and will be throwing out the first pitch on Opening Day!

The Twins #1 fan manages the White Sox. How does that make ya feel? smirk

I do believe Pier is referencing the quotes by Ozzie to the effect of how he hates those Minn "Peer-on-yahs"

Who cares who Blago or Obama is a fan of??? By the way, No World Series win in 100 years or not, the Cubs fans in Chicago, and anywhere else for that matter out number White Sox fans 20-1.

    • I am not one to post on here much but I am always "Lurking in the shadows". Anyway I have a question about a Grand Prix I bought a few years ago. When I first acquired the car it would up shift into the next gear as soon as you stepped on it fairly hard making for a rather uneventful and slow accelerating process. I figured this was normal as it was the only thing I found unusual. Then after awhile it begin to shake subtly when accelerating in first and second gear after second gear it would accelerate flawlessly. in the last few months it has begun to develop a fairly bad jerk when stopping and then going again. This ONLY happens after driving long distances. It never happens if I drive under 100 miles .Also it only happens about 1/3 of the time after driving these long distances. It will still accelerate slowly until about 3 mph and then it will jerk fairly hard when it does happen. Any Ideas what would cause this? The long distance thing is what confuses me.
    • What a load of dung question.  In your eyes no one could respond with a "rational" explanation. Johnson knew what it was going to take to get into the debates when he decided to run.  He failed up to this point so suck it up. Maybe you and Dave can get together and drown your tears together over a couple cold ones.
    • Do you have any rational explanation why a candidate who is on the ballot in all 50 states, and has a petition to be included in the debates with over 1 million signatures on it, should not be in the debates? https://www.johnsonweld.com/debate?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=tweet&utm_term=GJ-09-23&utm_campaign=debate
    • This was Sunday morning after we set decoys. Maybe the duck dock is to comfortable......
    • Sweety, son and I are both-In. Will try and hold out for a buck but no Deer in the freezer so if it's Brown its Down!
    • I may have missed it when I dozed off in the middle of the "debate", but I don't believe there was any mention of Aleppo in the whole affair...
    • Del drops the mic.   Nice dodge.   How would Del know what Trump and Clinton are thinking or are afraid of (if they are afraid of anything)?
    • You don't have to but you will own everything Hillary does.
    • I think I'd rather it be dirty than apply solvents to it.   It is a four-wheeler, not a corvette.  They are made to be dirty  I might try armor all or something but i'd stick with something made for automotive purposes.
