Stones
We are looking at a SD Turkey hunt this spring and considering heading to the Pierre area due to its large concentration of public land in the Lake Oahe area. Anybody have some insight on this area? We are even open to suggestion of other areas in SD that may be a good option. The black hills was the first choice, but limited time is keeping us near the Missouri River. Thanks in advance for any input!
DonBo
Applications for Prairie Turkey are due Feb. 20. Still a little time to apply.Black Hill tags are guaranteed. You still need to apply, (no deadline) but tag is guaranteed. The Black Hills tag is good for one bird. All other units are good for two. outfishedagain
I've done several hunts west of Mobridge on the Standing Rock indian reservation. There it is a draw but i've never not gotten a tag. There are a lot of turkeys up and down the the Missouri River. So I like it when everyone runs to the hills.
