Will smoke be the same guy ?

18 posts in this topic

With the ownership pressure to get and hold sponsers and such do you think he will be the same guy quick to say and do the things he has in the past? I cant see him being to different

a guy no matter what he owns or has responsability for.

sure would be a bummer to see him get all politically correct.

He is going to be one ornery guy if they keep losing like most new owners do. I wonder is he will snap if they don't win all year? The guy is a great driver and super competitive, but I don't know if he can handle that much losing.

dont think he can be the same cuz hes an owner hes a different guy

i think it will depend on how much weight he puts on his shoulders

dont think wining will be as important as runnin well

if hes 20th and back he going to get ugly but if him and ryan get in the top ten a few times and such hes smart enought to know that it dont come over night and who knows maybe it will

who excepted the 18 to run like that last yr

The 18 was not on a new team though. I think Stewart is one heck of a talent, but borderline psychotic. I think he will go nuts if they aren't winning or in the top ten.

I think he will do fine, he brought alot of talent to the team. Theres no doubt that Tony's emotions will get the best of him a few times this year. I don't think he will change too much, everyone knows that when Tony goes nutz its because of his passion for racing. Smoke will have a few meltdowns this year, you can count on that!

at least he airs it out

and not try to be politically right like the 48...24 and few others

i'm long time mark m fan but had he kicked some butt rather than being mr nice he'd have a championship!

I'm a huge Martin fan as well. I hope he does well this year. He a class guy who just shuts up and races. There isn't a circus following him around. I think he may be a little more hungry for a championship now that he has gotten a little rest. He is too nice sometimes.

Tony will have to reign in his emotions a little or sponsors will avoid him in this politically correct society. I like his passion and skill, but you would think at 35 or whatever he is he could keep from acting like my 10 year old who was just grounded from the Playstation.

Tony does get fairly wound up in his emotions but he is pure talent when it conmes to driving race cars. I see Tony having a pretty good season.

The dude is good.

Ya I believe mark will make the chase no problem and should win a race or 2

Ya sponsers will be a issue with tony specially if hes not running up and front and actiong like a 10 yr old on and off the track but ithink as you hes a little older and will take

some of gibbs with him

Based on what I read last year in Rolling Stone magazine, I don't think there is much of a chance he will ever out grow his wild emotional side. At least I hope he won't give in to the preasure and turn into a prim and propper driver. We need guys like him for the sport.

ya these guys need to spice it up alittle

like the old days

nascar needs to let fight after the race not with the cars

at least on pit road where someone could get run over

but if you get bumped you bump back

like the 3 told the 2 i'm not the 24 I'll hit you back lol

they let hockeys player go at

I like to see passion from Stewart, just not the 2 year old temper tantrum every time something goes wrong. As for the fighting, these guys all talk tough but lets face it they are all about 5'2" and 120lbs with the exception of a few. The average guy could knock them out in a couple wacks. It would be fun to watch though. Put them on the finish line and give them 5 minutes to duke it out and then shut up and race.

lol ya thats funny

i dunno not sure i wanna lock horns the 99

but ya most are shoter smaller guys but still it would be

a fair fight anyway lol

they could fight like hockey players with their helmets on

nobody would get seriously hurt just a good laugh after what are sometimes pretty boring races

I don't think you all of a sudden grow up at 30 something years old or what-ever age he is and stop acting like a spoiled little cry baby brat.

I think he'll continue to embarrass himself and anyone who happens to be in his way.

He's NO JJ in the Class department thats for sure.

    • You would get what you deserve if he does do what he says he's going to do. You would get to pay for a wall, probably watch your children or grandchildren go to war, pay for his infrastructure spending, you'll still get some kind of government sponsored healthcare, more gun control and I can only imagine what else.
    • You don't seem to get it at all. It's all about what these candidates stand for. If trump would completely change his stances (again) to be closer to what the Libertarians stand for then yes you may have a point. With his current views I would not be a Trump supporter and would hope he would have no way of gaining the Libertarian party nomination.
    • But yet you can't answer PF's question. If you can't think of any you admire, why should he be able to? That question is like the infamous, "If you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you be?" Stupid questions don't deserve an answer. At least he didn't say Putin.
    • OK, here is your big chance to get some land away from the evil state government and back into private hands.    And help out the schools and fight cronyism at the same time.    (the requirement you need to be there to bid is clearly a crony deal in my opinion) The Department of Natural Resources will sell 40 northern Minnesota parcels in three public oral bid auctions in October and November. Tuesday, Oct. 25 – Nine northwestern Minnesota parcels will be auctioned at the County Administration Building in Bemidji. Thursday, Oct. 27 – 27 northeastern Minnesota parcels will be auctioned at the Lake County Courthouse in Two Harbors. Thursday, Nov. 3 – Four parcels in north-central Minnesota will be auctioned at DNR Brainerd area office. The properties include unimproved recreational land and residential lakeshore parcels in Aitkin, Cass, Clearwater, Cook, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Lake, and St. Louis counties. There is a wide range of sizes and land uses in this selection of sales, from a small 0.80 acre former water access site on Pine Lake in Clearwater County to a 200-acre recreational parcel in Breitung Township in northeastern St. Louis County. The DNR regularly sells land which is no longer needed for its original conservation purpose, after a thorough internal review, and after giving state agencies and local governments opportunities to purchase the land. Proceeds from sales of lands the DNR had once acquired go to the DNR division that had managed the land and are used to purchase and develop lands better suited to that division’s conservation goals. Many of the parcels to be sold are School Trust lands. Proceeds from these auction sales are deposited to a fund that benefits the state’s public school system. School Trust land by law can only be sold at public auction.
Bidders are advised to obtain and view the property data sheet, be familiar with the property, minimum bid price, and terms and conditions of sale prior to attending the auction. To obtain a property data sheet or terms and conditions of sale call 651-259-5432, or 888-646-6367 or email landsale@dnr.state.mn.us. The property data sheets are also available online at www.dnr.state.mn.us/lands_minerals/landsale/.
    • Watch the video.  He didn't say "I don't find much to admire...."   He said "uh... I'm having an Aleppo moment... maybe the guy that used to be president of mexico.... then weld said "Fox" and he said "yeah, Fox"   You had to see it to believe it.
